Eccles, W.J. Harper and Row. New York. 1972
A French Canadian point of view on the British Conquest and how the old humane Paternalism that had prevailed under French rule could not survive under the new political institutions.
This is a rather battered book. The cover and first page have suffered but the body of the book is quite fine. However, it is an unusual topic so the book is worthwhile despite the cover.
