Clay. South American, possibly Amazonian. Ladle has two legs attached at base of bowl. The handle bears a resemblance to a South American coati. the bowl has a hole in it that was deliberately made, so possibly this object was used as a sieve of some kind. piece measures 1" high at back of bowl, @ 5" end-to end, and 2 3/4' high at handle.Visit product page →

Fine Mexican Dish. Red Clay. Circa 1400 AD. Simple Chevron design on beveled rim of bowl. No chips. Very good condition.
